Change Management responsibilities - Business Change Manager

  • Develop, implement and embed a change management framework ensuring adoption, education and a greater understanding of the management of change across the organisation
  • Maximise the potential of the Change Management  Team through leading, coaching and inspiring the team to consistently deliver excellent service and continuous improvements in the change management framework
  • Be an ambassador for change, championing process change and cultural change
  • Build strong relationships with Senior HR and Business leaders to facilitate the effective management of change
  • Build a capability for change including:
    • Developing training programmes that develop problem solving, decision making, influencing, persuading and communication skills 
    • Engaging and developing senior leaders in leading change 
  • Ensure that changes are implemented in a manner which ensures that all employees feel valued and appreciate the new solutions 
  • Manage communication of changes into the wider business which improves engagement and change acceptance
  • Ensure that the effects of changes are monitored using targets and key performance indicators in order to identify successes and areas where further changes need to be made
  • Deliver effective change management support to ensure that change is successfully embedded and benefits delivered in all departments and functions of the organisation

Change Management responsibilities - Strategic Change Manager

  • Report to the Board in the identification of the organisation’s strategies
  • Develop strategic objectives into transformational change programmes 
  • Research, compile and analyse supporting data to validate transformational change 
  • Oversee the financial and commercial well-being of the all change initiatives
  • Undertake the direct leadership of nominated key change initiatives as directed by the Board 
  • Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, procedures and work standards where applicable for the transformational change
  • Review and evaluate all change initiatives; make recommendations and assist in their execution 
  • Monitor and stay abreast of organizational changes that affect the activities and work processes of the transformational change, ensuring that the change plans are sufficiently flexible to incorporate the changing requirements of the organisation 
  • Coordinate closely with the senior management team to ensure the key performance indicators for the transformational change are met and that benefits are driven through and sustained 
  • Keep up to date with best practice change management operations including those adopted by other leading organisations.

Change Management skills - applicable to Strategic Change Manager and Business Change Manager

  • Commercial experience of business change initiatives 
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience at all levels 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels 
  • Building and delivering a communications plan
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Experience of using appropriate analytical tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver against challenging deadlines  
  • Practical experience of process improvement techniques
  • The ability to empathise with people going through a period of change
  • Excellent presentation and reporting writing skills 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, as well as handle difficult and sensitive situations by making sound and independent judgements
