2011

  • Managing Business Transformation – a practical guide is ranked as a best-selling book by IT Governance!
  • We have launched a new course to complement our existing Change Management Foundation and Practitioner course. The Managing Business Transformation course is aimed at those seeking an approach to planning and managing large scale organisational change and complements the book Managing Business Transformation: A Practical Guide.
  • We have launched a new series of free briefings explaining how those involved in project and programme management can lead their organisations successfully through the changes brought about by the implementation of project deliverables.
  • Our CEO gave presentations on facilitation skills and team building at the Alarm Learning and Development Forum and Maven launched its new Management of Portfolios (MoP) training course.
  • Maven passed its APM Group quality assessment for accredited training organisations with flying colours.
  • Our change management trainers launched a comprehensive programme of change management workshops
  • Our CEO gave a presentation at the Best Practice User Group congress in Bratislava and Maven hosted a session on portfolio management for the Best Practice User Group and a discussion forum for the PMO Specific Interest Group
  • Maven was re-accredited as an ISO9000 organisation.
  • New website and new learning management system launched.
  • Launched the updated M_o_R® course.

2010

  • Opened our new centre at Aldermary House, Queen Street, London.
  • Won an award from one of our clients for our project assurance service.
  • Became training partner for ALARM – the public risk management association.
  • Trained in Khartoum for the first time.
  • Launched APM with prior learningP3O® and ITIL® Foundation courses.

2009

2008

  • Winners of the The Best Practice User Group (BPUG) Award for Innovation in Training.
  • Launched our 'Being Effective' range.
  • Melanie Franklin, CEO, co-authored the "Skills Series": Communication Skills; Team Management Skills and Leadership Skills for project and programme managers.

2007

  • Launched M_o_R® course.
  • Melanie Franklin, CEO, authored the ‘Think MSP’ book - the companion text to the refreshed MSP®.
  • Managing Successful Programmes qualification.
  • Maven took part in the judging of the Consultant of the Year award from the Management Consultancies Association.

2006

  • Launched the MSP® course.
  • Sponsored Chamberlain Awards at Birmingham City Council, recognising excellence at work.
  • Gained accreditation under ISO9000.
  • Launched APM Introductory Certificate.
  • We opened our first training centre at New Broad Street in London.

2005

  • Developed an advice portal, providing consultancy and assurance services for organisations already using our training services, called Maven Mentors.

2004

  • Maven is awarded Investors in People status.
  • Maven moves into larger offices by Tower Bridge to support the expansion of the company.

2003

  • Melanie Franklin, CEO, co-authors "Using PRINCE2 – the project manager’s guide".

2002

  • Maven holds its first PRINCE2® course at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham with a 100% pass rate.
  • Maven hires new trainers to support the rapid growth of the company.

2001

  • After months of planning and creating course materials, interviewing trainers and setting up our premises, Maven Training is launched in October 2001.
