The Effective Project Sponsorship Course examines the role of sponsor in the context of delivery of strategy, organisational change and the realisation of benefits. The role of a sponsor in authorising initiatives, committing sufficient resources to them, engaging with stakeholders and taking decisions on changes to scope and deliverables are explored in depth. These responsibilities are set against a background of best practice frameworks in project, programme and change management and those attending will be given the opportunity to develop their own decision checklists and responsibilities for their roles as part of an in-depth exercise.
