Melanie will be giving a useful masterclass on P3M3 and will explain what's involved when an organisation conducts an assessment of its capability in project, programme and portfolio management.

She will explain why its important to undertake maturity assessments in order to improve the way the organisation manages its projects.

Maturity models are management tools designed to help organisations implement effective processes in a given management discipline. In the masterclass melanie will focus on the P3M3 model which goes through portfolio, programme and project related activities within key process areas that contribute to achieving successful outcomes, change initiatives and business transformation.

The masterclass will provide delegates with:
- An overview of the contents of the P3M3 model
- A step by step guide for conducting an initial assessment against the model, including details of time taken, resources required and different approaches for drawing conclusions and implementing actions
- A discussion of the pros and cons of using a maturity model to assess capability
