The Career Transition Partnership Event
Herford, Germany
19th March 2009
The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is hosting an Industry Awareness Day in March, and we have been invited to talk to Service Leaders who are based in Germany, Belgium and Holland about careers in project management.
The event is being held in The Divisional Conference Centre in Herford, near Hannover in Germany on 19th March.
Event organiser Linda Saunders says: “The attendees are Service leavers currently posted in Northern Europe who are somewhat isolated regarding information and guidance on industries and opportunities within the UK. They need information on how to enter, train and find employment within their chosen sectors”.
The MoD recognises that making the transition from the Armed Forces into civilian life can be daunting. Some Service leavers will have joined the Forces straight from school and will never have applied for employment anywhere else. The MoD advises that successful resettlement requires a clear aim, a thorough personal evaluation, good job intelligence, effective networking and a well thought out approach to employers.
As armed forces personnel can use their Enhanced Learning Credits on many of our courses, we are ideally placed to advise them on the best way forward if they want to take up careers in programme, project, service or change management.
“It’s very much appreciated having Maven Training come over to Germany to help our Service leavers,” Saunders says.
