Melanie Franklin Biography

Melanie is the founder and Chief Executive of Maven - the Portfolio, Programme, Project, Risk and Change Management specialist. Leading from the front Melanie practices what Maven preaches - recent strategic consultancy assignments include implementing portfolio management techniques, building methodologies for project and change management, introducing maturity and assessment services and setting up skills and competence frameworks for clients (including a global insurance company and a major telecommunications provider, NHS Trusts and local authorities).

Establishing Maven as a champion of best practice and an influential consultancy and learning provider was a natural progression from her extensive experience in managing large business critical programmes in the finance sector where, as Global Programme Manager, she set up a Crisis Management Command Centre and had full responsibility for developing business-wide procedures for risk identification, evaluation and prioritisation across 42 offices in 38 countries.

She held Senior Project Manager roles with a number of global financial institutions leading teams in the UK and America responsible for the production of an operations, financial and MIS reporting framework and managing relationships between the company and outsourced development teams based in India.

Melanie is a regular keynote speaker at conferences and has written a number of books while still finding time to deliver these invaluable services to our clients.
