This course will provide an introduction to the terminology and structure commonly applied to managing multiple, interdependent projects as programmes. It will be of interest to those who are currently working within a programme environment, or those who would like to develop their skills further in the areas of Project Management and Change Management.

Overview of Programme Management
·    Where did Programme Management originate?
·    How do you know if you are involved in a Programme?
·    Defining what a programme is, and how the strategy or vision statement can be broken down into individual projects
·    Identifying barriers to running a successful programme and actions to overcome these barriers
·    Identifying Dependencies between all of the projects in a programme
 
Roles and Responsibilities on a Programme and Stakeholder Management
·    Review of each Programme Management role Creating suitable organisation structures for different types of programme environment
 
Benefits and their Realisation
·    Identification of benefits
·    Developing appropriate Benefits Realisation Plans
 
Planning and Reporting of a Programme
·    Defining key milestones in the programme and ensuring these relate back to key delivery dates on individual projects
·    Identifying suitable mechanisms for monitoring progress across all projects within a programme of work
 
Relationship between Projects and Programme Management
·    Setting the boundary of authority for each project
·    Identifying escalation routes for Risk Management and Change Management from Project Level to Programme Level
