This is an examination-based course, which gives delegates’ accreditation to Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner Advanced Level. It is a companion course to the Foundation and Practitioner course, which delegates must successfully complete before attending this event. The course concentrates on the application of previously acquired MSP™ knowledge. It uses a detailed case study and scenarios to provide delegates with exercises and practical activities to demonstrate their knowledge.

Learning Objectives |
|
· Discuss how MSP™ can be applied in real life situations, with particular emphasis on its application to the case study provided by the examination board
· Undertake practical work in a supportive training environment
· Gain two respected Programme Management qualifications

Course Content |
|
· Identifying the vision statement and blueprint of what the programme is to deliver
· Defining the steps in Benefits Realisation and the roles responsible for this
·Identifying stakeholders, and assessing their impact and importance to the programme
· Identifying and managing issues and risks across the programme
· Creating a Programme Plan and scheduling end of ‘Tranche’ and Benefits Reviews
Practical Application Exercises
· Using scenarios and a case study to enable delegates to apply their theoretical knowledge to actual programme situations
Exam Preparation
·One on one feedback from the trainer to enhance the quality of answers prior to the examinations
·The examination is based upon the MSP™ Care case study; it is very much a practical application.
·You are being asked to apply your knowledge of programme management to the MSP™ Care programme, so your answers must include relevant material from the case study and should be based on your experience of working in or with programmes

Course Structure |
|
· 3 days
· Essay based open book paper of 2 hours. The pass mark is 38/75 within 3 questions
· Course runs 9am – 5:30pm with a break for lunch
