This is a fast paced examination-based course, which gives Delegates accreditation to both levels of MSP qualifications. The course equips Delegates with a detailed knowledge and structure of the MSP method covering how programmes evolve and how they are managed throughout their lifecycle. The course includes detailed coverage of programme documentation with development of strategies to manage benefits and Stakeholders. Additionally it includes techniques to identify and manage issues and risks.

Learning Objectives

·   Discuss and understand the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) approach, building on the Delegates own experience and knowledge of large-scale change
·   Application of MSP to different programme situations, and creation of programme documentation in a supportive training environment
·   Prepare for the Foundation and Practitioner Exams

 

 Course Content

·          How programmes come about
·          Identifying the outline of what the programme is to deliver
·          Defining in detail what the programme is to deliver and determining whether it is worthwhile
·          Managing the programme including ensuring Benefits, Realisation, Effective and Appropriate
·          Stakeholder Management, Handling Issues and managing Risks across the programme
·          Ensuring that the programme remains worthwhile and aligned to Strategic Objectives
·          Delivering the required outcomes to the required quality
·          Programme reviews and audit
·          Practical Application Exercises
·          Exam preparation

 Course Structure

·    Suggested 15 hours of pre-course preparation
·    5-day Course
·    40 min multiple choice, closed book Foundation Exam on the 3rd day. Also a 2 and 1/2 hour Practitioner Exam on the 5th day
·    Delegates are encouraged to complete 1-2 hours of evening work for each day of the course
