A PRINCE2™ Product Description is used to define a product. It is used to specify, design, purchase or produce a product. It must be in enough detail to ensure that the product meets the user’s requirements.

PRINCE2™ Product Descriptions are used at various levels. It is only when a full product description is produced that a full understanding of the product can be gained. This process helps to make it clear to the users/customers and to the producers exactly what is required.
