This course addresses the different types of Leadership Style that can be applied by Project and Programme Managers and their Sponsors to successfully lead within a Project Management Environment. Project effort must be strategically led to ensure the successful delivery of the Strategic Objectives of the organisation. This requires Managers and Sponsors to demonstrate strong, clear Leadership, often against a backdrop of budget and time constraints. This course enables leaders to further enhance their Leadership Capability.

Learning Objectives |

· Understand different Leadership Styles and the advantages of adopting different styles at different points in the Project or Programme Lifecycle
· Assess the preferred Leadership Style of each of the Delegates and identify an action plan for developing the range of styles that each Delegate exhibits

Leadership Styles
· Review different Leadership Styles and examine the need to adopt different styles at different points in the Project or Programme Lifecycle
· Assessment of the preferred Leadership Style of each Delegate via a variety of questionnaires and activities
· Review how each Leadership Style can be applied to Project and Programme Management and the advantages and disadvantages of each style
Identification of Key Leadership Activities
· Building the Project Team
· Communicating with and influencing Stakeholders
· Setting the direction of the project or programme
· Motivating the team to deliver progress
· Realigning the project or programme against changes in Organisational Strategy
