Training for Senior Managers
Increasingly, projects form part of an overall change programme. These change programmes are the vehicles that deliver an organisation’s strategic direction. The ability to break the change programme into clearly defined individual projects, with well understood interdependencies, is a highly sought after skill.
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP™) is a framework for implementing strategic change and new initiatives by identifying and managing multiple projects in a structured way. Programme Management relies on strong project management, but concentrates on the benefits that these projects will ultimately deliver. It identifies mechanisms for prioritising projects by balancing quick wins against long-term deliverables so that the organisation can retain focus and motivation over the longer term.
Maven Training have developed a suite of training courses covering, project and programme management as well as change management specifically for the senior managers.

Managing Successful Programmes
This is an examination-based course, which gives delegates accreditation as a Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner. The course equips delegates with a detailed knowledge and structure of the method. It covers how programmes come about and how to manage the programme including the documentation to be produced such as the Vision Statement, Blueprint and the Business Case. Two key aspects of the Managing Successful Programmes course are its focus on ensuring that benefits are realised and the stakeholders expectations are managed.
Programme Definition Workshop
The aim of this one day workshop is to enable delegates to explore and understand the issues that lead to successful programme definition by translating an organisation’s strategic goals into a series of planned business changes. It is from this level of detail that delegates will fully assess the breadth of the changes required; and develops this into a series of interdependent projects. This is highly interactive workshop with the delegates defining their programme under the guidance of the facilitator.

Leading Change Programmes

Change management is a critical skill and this workshop has been designed to introduce managers to the fundamental challenges in getting people to change their patterns of behaviour and working practices and adopt the new methods that result from the implementation of project work.
The workshop will involve a great deal of delegate participation in discussion groups and mini syndicates to answer questions posed by the facilitator/trainer and share their understanding of the concepts of change management with others in the workshop.
Gateway Review
This workshop takes the form of a facilitated workshop to prepare an organisation for a Gateway Review. A Gateway Review assesses a project or programme at key points during the life of that project or programme. The reviewers are external to the project or programme and will scale the intensity of the review to reflect the level of risk associated with the activities being undertaken.
