PRINCE2® stands for Projects IN Controlled Environments. It is a process-based approach that gives step by step guidance for managing projects. The framework of PRINCE2® Project Management can be used for any kind of project. PRINCE2® techniques are widely accepted as best project management practices because of its practicality, scalability, and flexibility. 

In PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner course, both the levels are covered. This qualification has two levels:

  • PRINCE2® Foundation – It is the first level of PRINCE2® certification and provides knowledge of PRINCE2® concepts. By undergoing this course, the candidates can act as a member of project management team in their organisation's environment.
  • PRINCE2® Practitioner- This is the second level of PRINCE2® certification. Practitioner level is for the delegates who want to understand in-depth knowledge about PRINCE2® concepts and refine their learning before applying and adapting PRINCE2® in particular projects.

  • For PRINCE2® Foundation exam there are no prerequisites
  • For PRINCE2® Practitioner exam delegate must already have PRINCE2® Foundation certification
  • Delegates should have experience of team leading, project management and project assistance
  • Some experience in project management is helpful, and there are no formal prerequisites for sitting for PRINCE2® Foundation exam
  • Prior knowledge of PRINCE2® is not necessary however experience of working in project environment will be beneficial
  • For sitting in PRINCE2® Practitioner as well as Foundation examination give proof of having passed any one of the following:

PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner is a course that helps to achieve both PRINCE2® Foundation and PRINCE2® Practitioner certification. It is a five-day course including both exams. This course covers the important topics such as program, portfolio, project, service and change management.

Gaining both the certification enable delegates to make use of available opportunities and grow more in project management field. Our well experienced and highly trained PRINCE2® certified instructors will train delegates thoroughly about general concepts of PRINCE2® and then its practical applications. This PRINCE2® certification is fully accredited by PeopleCert and includes both exams.


For this Maven training’s PRINCE2® Foundation exam, the exam structure is:

  • Format of Exam is multiple choice questions
  • Number of questions is 75 per paper
  • Five questions are given for trial and not counted in final scores.
  • For clearing the exam 35 marks are required out of 70 that is 50%.
  • The time limit is 60 minutes and a closed book.

Maven Training’s PRINCE2® Practitioner exam have the following structure:

  • Exam is Objective testing
  • Per question 8-10 questions are given and each score one mark.
  • For clearing PRINCE2® Practitioner exam, 44 marks or more required out of 80 available that is 55%.
  • Duration of PRINCE2® Practitioner exam is Two and a Half hours that is 150 minutes and no additional reading time is provided.
  • It is an open book exam.
